2.1.12 How to create a Variable Shortcut?

Creating a variable Shortcut
To create a variable Shortcut, go to the URL you want to use.
For example, this is the Amazon search link to a book we like at OSlash.
Now to ensure you don’t have to visit Amazon, search for an item ever again, you can replace the variable part of the above link in the destination URL with {search}, written in curly brackets.

Here, we have replaced “bird+by+bird&ref=nb_sb_noss_2” that is the variable part of the link with {search} in the destination URL.
We’ve used “o/amazon” as the Shortcut name to a search result page.
Now, in the future, everyone in the workspace can reach a search result in Amazon by simply typing o/amazon/harry-potter or whatever they may be searching for.
